Choosing a cake flavor from a list means guessing how the cake, filling, and frosting will taste together. The Cake Taster Box takes out the guesswork. It is a cake tasting box you take home, with four flavor combinations you pick in separate containers, ready for pickup on a date you arrange with Lynette.
Lynette Stubbs makes custom cakes in Miami. She created the box for wedding cake tastings and larger orders, when the flavor decision matters most. You do not need to book a cake first.

What comes in the box
Each Cake Taster Box holds four individual tasting containers, each about 3 inches square. Lynette prepares each combination separately, with cake, filling, and frosting in one container so you can taste the flavor as it would be served in a full cake.
The containers are individually packaged and placed together in a clear-window tasting box with decorative crinkle paper. Packaging details may vary. Each container has a flavor label, and a tasting menu inside the box lists your four selections.
Lynette designed the box to feel like opening a gift. One of the first customers to receive it commented on how much she liked the presentation.

Choose your four flavors
You choose all four flavors from the same list Lynette uses for her custom cakes. She does not choose for you, because the tasting works best when it includes combinations you are considering. Recent combinations include lemon blueberry, caramel hazelnut, vanilla with strawberry, chocolate, pistachio, piña colada, and coconut passion fruit.
A seasonal or limited flavor can be one of your four if Lynette is offering it at the time and it is available for your event. If a combination will not work for your pickup date, Lynette lets you know and helps you choose another.

Price and how ordering works
The Cake Taster Box costs $75. That is a flat price for four flavor combinations and the full box, not a price per person. The Cake Taster Box is $75 and includes four flavor combinations for you to enjoy and sample. The $75 tasting fee covers the complete box and is separate from the cost of any future cake order.
Ordering takes four steps:
Submit the request form with your name, email, phone, the four flavors you want to try, and the pickup date you would like. An event date and type are optional. Your requested date is not guaranteed until Lynette confirms availability.
Lynette confirms your flavors and sets a pickup date and time with you.
She sends an invoice. Payment is due in advance, and your box is confirmed when she receives it.
After you pay, she sends the pickup address. You collect the box at your scheduled time.
Request a box at least one week before the date you want. Lynette prepares each one to order, so none sit in the refrigerator ready to grab. A shorter timeline may work depending on her cake schedule that week, but she does not promise one. Cake Taster Boxes are offered year-round based on availability. During holiday weeks and other busy cake weeks, she may limit how many she accepts, so book early.
Cake Taster Box payments are non-refundable. You can reschedule a pickup with at least 72 hours' notice, subject to availability. A change with less than 72 hours' notice may need a new taster order and payment.

Cake Taster Boxes are pickup only, by scheduled appointment in Ives Estates / North Miami Beach, Florida. The exact pickup address is provided after the order has been confirmed and paid. Lynette prefers pickup because the containers need to stay refrigerated and handled properly. Pickup days and times depend on her cake schedule that week, so you and Lynette arrange them when you order.
Keep the box refrigerated and eat it within three to four days of pickup for the best quality. Let the containers sit at room temperature for a short while before tasting, so the cake is not refrigerator cold.
Lynette does not put allergen labels on the individual containers.
Allergen Notice: Some flavors contain tree nuts. Please disclose any food allergies or dietary concerns when submitting your request.
Small print: Contains dairy, eggs, and wheat. Made in a home bakery not inspected by the Florida Department of Agriculture.

Is the cake taster box four slices of cake?
No. It holds four individual tasting containers, with one cake, filling, and frosting combination in each.
Do I need to book a cake to order one?
No. There is no minimum cake order. You can request a box before booking a cake, so the tasting can help you decide.
Does the $75 count toward my cake?
No. The taster cost is never deducted from a final cake order.
Can you ship a cake taster box?
No. Boxes are pickup only, by scheduled appointment. Lynette gives you the address after your order is confirmed and paid.
Which flavors can I choose?
Any flavor from the custom cake flavor list. If a combination will not work for your pickup date, Lynette lets you know and helps you pick another.
Do any flavors contain alcohol?
No. There is no alcohol in any of Lynette's cakes, including flavors with names like Piña Colada and Pistachio Champagne.
Can I get a refund or change my pickup date?
Payments are non-refundable. You can reschedule with at least 72 hours' notice, subject to availability.
How is this different from Cakes in a Jar?
Cakes in a Jar are desserts you order online and have shipped nationwide. The Cake Taster Box is made to order for pickup and helps you choose flavors for a custom cake.
